The invention relates to a call transmitter for input of control commands, in particular for a lift installation, which comprises at least one carrier element (2) and a call transmitter housing (1) having a first end (9) and a second end (10) provided with a flange (20). The carrier element (2) can also consist of several parts and also only individual parts thereof can be constructed to be movable. The call transmitter housing (1) has a positioning element (7), which is arranged in the middle of the housing (1) between the first end (9) and the second end (10). The call transmitter housing (1) can be installed in the front plate (5) in two different variants, such that on the one hand the first end face (9) of the call transmitter housing (1) is flush with the front plate (5) and on the other hand the second end face (10) of the call transmitter housing (1) can be mounted on the front plate (5) to be proud by the distance of the flange (20).
