A camera has a barrier assembly (16) that comprises an integrated lens over/light hood (17), and a rotatable door (18). The assembly is movable between an open and a closed position. The assembly functions as a protective barrier for the camera's picture-taking lens (13) when disposed in the closed position. The door is located within an aperture (19) defined by the lens cover/light hood when the assembly is closed. The door rotates away from the aperture as the assembly translates to the open position. The aperture is substantially aligned with the optical axis (14) of the picture-taking lens as the assembly reaches its open position, thereby allowing ambient light to reach the picture-taking lens. The lens cover/light hood isolates the lens from ambient light outside the field of view of the lens when the assembly is in its open position.
Cet appareil de prise de vue possède un ensemble barrière (16) comprenant un cache-objectif/occultateur (17) et un volet rotatif (18). L'ensemble peut passer d'une position ouverte à une position fermée. En position fermée, cet ensemble fait office de barrière protégeant l'objectif de prise de vue (13). Le volet tourne et s'écarte de l'ouverture (19) lorsque l'ensemble se déplace vers la position ouverte. L'ouverture est quasiment dans le même alignement que l'axe optique (14) de l'objectif de prise de vue lorsque l'ensemble arrive en position ouverte, ce qui permet à la lumière ambiante de parvenir à cet objectif. Le cache-objectif/occultateur isole l'objectif de la lumière ambiante en dehors du champ de vue de l'objectif lorsque l'ensemble est en position ouverte.
