ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A generally rectangular still camera housing is provided with a pair of arcuate recesses in the front surface configured to accept the user's fingers in a variety of comfortable gripping positions. The recess walls are configured to acceptingly guide the user's fingers so as not to accidentally obstruct the objective lens and/or camera flash unit.
