ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A camera suspension system for use in aerial filming has a suspension cable, and a camera support for carrying a camera and , if required also a camera operator. The camera support is suspended from the suspension cable by a trolley having a prime mover, which may be an hydraulic drive of an electrical drive motor, for displacing the camera support along the suspension cable, so that the trolley and therewith the camera support are self-propelled.
