ABSTRACT : The auxiliary illumination source of a camera tube is accommodated in a lamp holder mounted on the pumping stem of the camera tube in order to facilitate exchanging. Via electrical conductors which are accommodated in the lamp holder, the power supply for the auxiliary illumination source can be realized via passage pins of the camera tube. In order to make a camera tube of this kind suitable for use in tele- vision cameras adapted for use of camera tubes with a double auxiliary illumination lamp, a suitable resistor which forms a parallel connection with the auxiliary illumination lamp upon connection is included in the lamp holder. - 11 -
