-9- ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A portable barbecue apparatus has a stake portion for driving into the ground, or a ground support ring, each having a pivot socket by which a support post can be located in standing relation beside camp fire. The support post has a series of permanently attached, laterally extending sleeves of square tubing, to receive corresponding grill handle portions in loosely entered relation therein from either end of the sleeve. The barbecue is extremely robust, and effectively resistant to malfunction or seize-up due to exposure and rust- ing of the components. The arrangement facilitates the simul- taneous use of a number of grills, and permits their prepara- tion, when in a reversed location, clear of the fire, and the socket mountings for the post permits lateral pivotting of the post and grills.
