IMPROVEMENTS IN AND RELATING TO CAN OPENERS A B S T R A C T A hand-held can opener having a rotatable drive wheel for advancing the opener around a can and a circular cutting wheel. A spacer washer or bush mounted coaxially with the cutting wheel and having a non-circular spigot projecting into a corresponding hole in the cutting wheel to rotatably support the cutting wheel and link the two together for rotation together. This rim of the spacer washer engages the wall of the can during opening and is driven by that engagement to rotate the cutting wheel during rotation.
