Signals are transmitted on sub-channels at different but mutually overlapping frequencies. A receiver separates the sub-channels into component signals z0...c254 Prior to decoding (7), interfere nce estimates c0...c254 are subtracted from the components. These estimates are deduced from the signals received on the idle sub-channels (or on sub-channels from which a known or estimated signal is subtracted), for example by calculating (10) parameters defining a model of the interference and using these (11) to generate the interference estimates.

L'invention porte sur des signaux transmis sur des sous-canaux à des fréquences différentes mais qui se chevauchent mutuellement. Un récepteur sépare les sous-canaux en composantes de signaux z¿0? z¿254?. Avant le décodage (7), des estimations d'interférence c¿0? c¿254? sont soustraites des composantes. Ces estimations sont déduites des signaux reçus sur les sous-canaux libres (ou sur les sous-canaux à partir desquels un signal connu ou estimé est soustrait), par exemple en calculant (10) des paramètres définissant un modèle d'interférence et en utilisant ces derniers (11) afin de générer des estimations d'interférence.
