The polypeptide is produced from human breast cancer cell MCF7, or human gastric cancer cell MKN-95 or KATO-III, which polypeptide has a isoelectric point of 4.3, a molecular weight of 6,661 and the following amino acid sequence: EAQTETCTVAPRERQNCGFPGVTPSQCANKGCCFDDTVRGVPWCFYPNTIDVPP EEECEF The polypeptide may be used for diagnosis of cancer or as a therapeutic agent for carcinoma.
