A method for treating a neoplasm, such as a malignant tumor, in humans and other animals, is disclosed. A chromophore and an immunoadjuvant are introduced into the neoplasm. The neoplasm is then lased at an irradiance sufficient to induce neoplastic cellular destruction and to stimulate the self immunological defense system against neoplastic cellular multiplication.

L'invention décrit un procédé visant à traiter un néoplasme, tel qu'une tumeur maligne, chez l'homme et chez d'autres animaux. On introduit un chromophore et un immunoadjuvant dans le néoplasme. Celui-ci est ensuite traité au laser à une irradiance suffisante pour provoquer la destruction des cellules néoplasiques et stimuler le système de défense auto-immun pour qu'il en combatte la multiplication.
