A candle top and reshaper fit snuggly over a candle. The reshaper includes interior and straight tapered, curved or otherwise angled sidewalls that when fitted over a burning candle, the softened candle rim and sides are forced back into the center of the candle, causing the softened rim to reshape and prolong the candle bum time. Alternatively the walls of the reshaper are vertical and force the softened sides and rim down and into the center. The reshaper also protects the softened and liquefied wax of the candle from dirt and insects during the re-cooling process and the top provides a decorative cover when candles are stored.
