ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The candy dispenser comprises a dispenser housing having an upper candy compartment and a lower money compartment separated from one another by a forwardly declining partition wall. The candy compartment has a rear upper surface provided with a candy inlet adapted to accommodate a mouth of an upside down candy jar with a shoulder of the jar resting on the upper surface. The candy compartment also has a projecting first front portion in front of the candy inlet, the first front portion being provided with an upper candy access opening. The money compartment has a money access opening and also a second front portion extending beyond the first front portion of the candy compartment. The second front portion has a money slot on an upper surface thereof. The dispenser housing is provided with a front flap for closing the candy access opening, and a lid for covering the candy inlet. The lid is movable between a first position where the candy jar is positionable upside down with its shoulder in abutment on the upper surface and its mouth inserted in the candy inlet, and a second position where the candy inlet is closed by the lid. The storage space of the candy dispenser is therefore increasable by appending the candy jar to the candy compartment.
