A cane having a base formed from a cup-shaped support having a concave bottom surface and a top surface defined by a circumscribing exterior sidewall having a bottom edge. The concave bottom surface is formed to have a plurality of resilient projections extending therefrom a distance to project slightly beyond the bottom edge of the sidewall. The projections are formed in a spoke- like pattern on the bottom surface such that the density of the projections is greater near the central section of the bottom surface than at the periphery of the bottom surface. The projections are also formed to have a length that varies according to their position on the bottom surface so that a substantially planar contacting edge is presented to a support surface.
L'invention concerne une canne, dont la base est constituée d'un support en entonnoir qui comprend une surface inférieure concave et une surface supérieure délimitée par une paroi latérale extérieure circonscrite présentant un talon. La surface inférieure concave est formée de manière à présenter plusieurs saillies souples qui prolongent ladite surface, sur une certaine distance, de façon à se projeter légèrement au-delà du talon de la paroi latérale. Ces saillies présentent une configuration en rayons sur la surface inférieure, si bien que leur densité est supérieure à proximité de la section centrale de la surface inférieure qu'à la périphérie de cette surface. Ces saillies présentent également une longueur qui varie en fonction de leur position sur la surface inférieure, si bien qu'un bord de contact sensiblement planaire est présenté à une surface d'appui.
