The present invention is a portable outrigger designed especially for canoes. The outrigger consists of a supporting frame and a canoe shaped pontoon. The frame of the outrigger provides a 7ft × 3ft.4"platform, made up of 7 cross support panels, This platform extends horizontally out to one side of the canoe and can be used for the left side or right side. The rig can be fitted with a hanging cargo net under the platform, (the extended section). This design of outrigger also supports a one person tent and fly assembly. The outrider is telescopic. When the tent and fly assembly are not in use the platform section can be retracted or extended. To do this, flip one cross petrel onto another, next unlock the Middle Support Lock Bar to allow the support poles to slide in or out. There are only 4 bolts used, they attach the main lock panel to the pontoon. The rest of the assembly uses fitted straps to fasten the cross panels to the outrigger and 2 straps to secure the outrigger to the canoe. The main attaching components are 4 molded foam blocks. They are the structural connecting joints. This is where this main support structure poles cross the canoe gunnels. They measure 4×5×7 inches. There is a 2×1 3/4×7 groove along the middle bottoms of the connector blocks for the canoe rail to fit onto. There is a 2 3/4 round hole for the main support structure poles to slide into from the sides. This hole crosses above the canoe gunnels with a 3/4 " inch of foam between the main support structure poles and the rails. The entire assembly can be easy collapsed into a carry bag. The pontoon is carried as a separate piece. The smaller components can be stored inside the storage compartments in the pontoon. No tools are needed.
