The present invention provides a frame which attaches to outdoor furniture, and a canopy. The frame supports the canopy and has a first supporting arm and a second supporting arm and the frame is capable of orientation in an overhead position, and a behind position. The canopy is reversibly secured to about the outdoor furniture when the canopy is in a carrying position. The canopy in the overhead position serves to protect the furniture occupant from the sun whereas on cloudy days the canopy may be moved behind the furniture without disassembly of the canopy or frame.
