In summary, the cantilevered device of the present invention for suspending big game from tree trunks or the like comprises: a cantilever member having first and second ends, a tree trunk conforming curved base member rigidly affixed to said first end of said cantilever member so as to extend away from said cantilever member, generally in a first plane parallel with said cantilever member to conformally brace a mid-section of a tree trunk or the like within said curved base member, a lower bracing member rigidly affixed to a lower side of said cantilever device and extending generally downwardly in a second plane so as to be angled for bracing engagement with a lower section of a tree trunk or the like in braced engagement within said curved base member, said second plane generally perpendicular to said first plane, said cantilever member lying in said second plane, suspension means attachable to an upper side of said cantilever member for suspending an angled tensile supporting member in tensionable engagement extendable between said upper side of said cantilevered member and an upper section of a tree trunk or the like in braced engagement within said curved base member, hoisting means attachable at said second end of said cantilever member for selective hoisting, and releasable securing in an elevated position, of a carcass, a leg spreading member, releasably engageable to a pair of legs of said carcass, so as to extend between said pair of legs is mountable to a lower end of said hoisting means for suspending said carcass at said elevated position with said pair of legs securely spread apart, whereby the disembowelling, skinning, beheading, draining and the like of said carcass is facilitated.
