A cap operated retractable medical device has an outer body with a hinged connected outer cap which moves between an open and a closed position. The device is used as a blood sampler with a conventional collection tube normally used in such devices. A movable member is entirely enclosed within the outer body. A sliding interference or friction fit holds a retraction body within the mouth of the movable member, and also holds the front end of the movable member within the outer body positioned with the retraction body adjacent a stop. A double ended needle is installed in the retraction body. Cam protrusions on the cap engage the back of the movable member to move it forward as the cap is closed, thereby triggering retraction of the retraction body and its double ended needle entirely within the outer body. Once the cap is closed with the double ended needle safely inside, the device can be safely handled. The device is compact. It can be as short as the needles it will safely contain.
Ce dispositif médical rétractable actionné par son capuchon (10) est pourvu d'un corps externe auquel est relié un bouchon externe (30) à articulation, passant d'une position d'ouverture à une position de fermeture. On utilise ce dispositif comme système de prélèvement d'échantillons sanguins avec un tube à prélèvement sanguin classique habituellement employé avec ces dispositifs. Un élément mobile (40) est entièrement contenu dans le corps externe. Un ajustement glissant serré ou à force tient un corps escamotable à l'intérieur de l'embouchure de l'élément mobile et maintient l'extrémité antérieure de l'élément mobile enfermé dans le corps externe dans une position où le corps escamotable est contigu d'un arrêt. Une aiguille à double pointe (88) se trouve dans le corps escamotable. Des protubérances came (38) situées sur le capuchon entrent en contact avec l'arrière de l'élément mobile pour le faire avancer lorsque le capuchon est fermé, ce qui provoque l'escamotage du corps escamotable et celui de l'aiguille à deux pointes qui se trouve entièrement contenue à l'intérieur du corps externe. Une fois le capuchon fermé et l'aiguille positionnée en toute sécurité à l'intérieur, il est possible de manipuler le dispositif sans danger. Ce dispositif est compact et sa longueur peut ne pas dépasser celle des aiguilles qu'il renferme en toute sécurité.
