The present invention relates to a method and container for the cultivation of ornamental plants, facilitating the application of the method of drought stress to reduce cell elongation of plants grown in a slowly absorbing material such as peat moss without the use of chemical retarding agents. The invention thus discloses a container for the cultivation of plants comprising a layered structure incorporating a rapidly liquid absorbing reservoir and a body of suitable cultivation substrate. According to an advantageous embodiment a layer is furthermore inserted between said reservoir and said cultivation substrate in order to obtain a controlled flow of liquid from said reservoir to said cultivation substrate.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un récipient destinés à la culture de plantes d'ornement, facilitant l'application de la technique du stress de sécheresse permettant de réduire l'allongement des racines cultivées dans un matériau à absorption lente, tel que de la mousse de tourbe, sans utilisation d'agents retardateurs chimiques. Par conséquent, l'invention concerne un récipient destiné à la culture de plantes, comprenant une structure stratifiée renfermant un réservoir à absorption liquide rapide et un substrat de culture adapté. Un mode de réalisation avantageux de l'invention comprend une couche de matériau supplémentaire, insérée entre ledit réservoir et ledit substrat de culture pour obtenir un écoulement de liquide contrôlé entre ledit réservoir et ledit substrat de culture.
