The invention relates to a capillary electrophoresis-based method of screening complex materials for any unidentified affinity ligand that binds to a target of interest. The method subjects a plug of a mixture of the target and a complex material sample, and a separate plug of a known, tight-binding competitive ligand, to capillary electrophoresis under conditions optimized to allow mingling of the two plugs during the capillary electrophoresis run. Preferably, migration of the competitive ligand is tracked.

L'invention concerne un procédé basé sur l'électrophorèse capillaire permettant de cribler des matières complexes à la recherche de tout ligand d'affinité non identifié liant une cible d'intérêt. Ledit procédé consiste à soumette un tampon constitué d'un mélange de la cible et de l'échantillon de matière complexe, et un tampon séparé constitué d'un ligand compétitif à liaison renforcée connu à une électrophorèse capillaire dans des conditions optimisées visant à permettre le mélange des deux tampons au cours de l'électrophorèse capillaire. De préférence, on surveille la migration de ce ligand compétitif.
