ABSTRACT: A capped electric lamp has a lamp cap of synthetic material comprising a cup-shaped part having a circular-cylindrical wall por- tion with an axis and a bottom, further a panel in which contact mem- bers are anchored and a sleeve-shaped part which surrounds these con- tact members. There is fixed in the cup-shaped part a metal sleeve which is telescopically joined at one end with a flanged edge of a metal clamping plate and is connected thereto, while a seal of a lamp vessel is fixed in an opening of this clamping plate. The lamp is of a sample construction that can be readily manufactured and permits positioning of an electric element in a predetermined position with respect to the lamp cap. Little space is required in the direction of the axis because a plug-in connector member is arranged at right angles to the axis, while the presence of the sleeve-shaped part pre- vents corrosion of the contact members.
