Existing syringes are retrofittable with structure for capturing and enabling retraction of so-called extended needles proximally into the cylinders of the syringes upon complete expulsion of a medicament, without requiring alteration of the existing structure for attaching pistons and piston stems in order to mount the capturer. A complete expulsion of fluid from the cylinder, the typical rubber piston (8) is pierced by a sharp proximal end of the needle (26). Flexible tabs (42) of the capturer deflect proximally while maintaining engagement with the intruding needle, in order to cooperate with particular structure of the needle so as to maintain the captured state. The modification of the extended needle cannula also may include providing side ports (30) which serve the dual functions of ensuringcomplete expulsion of the medicament and of cooperating with tabs of the capturer so as to cause canting of the retracted needle.
Les seringues existantes peuvent être équipées d'une structure destinée à prendre les aiguilles et permettre la rétraction des aiguilles dites déployées, de manière proximale, dans le cylindre de seringues après expulsion complète d'un médicament, sans nécessiter de changement de la structure existante pour fixer le piston et la tige de piston de manière à monter le dispositif de prise. Après expulsion complète du liquide du cylindre, le piston (8) classique en caoutchouc est percé par l'extrémité effilée proximale de l'aiguille (26). Le dispositif de prise comprend des pattes flexibles (42) qui fléchissent proximalement tout en maintenant le contact avec l'aiguille de manière à coopérer avec la structure particulière de l'aiguille et maintenir celle-ci dans l'état capturé. La modification de l'aiguille creuse déployée peut aussi comprendre la présence d'orifices latéraux (30) qui ont la double fonction d'assurer l'expulsion complète du médicament et de coopérer avec les pattes du dispositif de prise de manière à provoquer le dévoiement de l'aiguille rétractée.
