This invention is directed to a method for preventing or treating neuropathic pain and cluster and migraine headache-associated pain comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of an enantiomer of Formula (I) substantially free of other enantiomers or an enantiomeric mixture wherein an enantiomer of Formula (I) predominates: wherein phenyl is substituted at X with one to five halogen atoms independently selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine; and; R1 and R2 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C1-C4 alkyl; wherein C1-C4 alkyl is optionally substituted with phenyl (wherein phenyl is optionally substituted with substituents independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C4 alkoxy, amino, nitro and cyano).
Cette invention porte sur un procédé de prévention ou de traitement de la douleur neuropathique et de la douleur associée à la céphalée vasculaire de Horton et à la migraine et consiste à administrer à un sujet nécessitant ce traitement une quantité efficace d'un point de vue thérapeutique d'un énantiomère de la formule (I) pratiquement exempt d'autres énantiomères ou d'un mélange énantiomérique où prédomine énantiomère de la formule (I): dans laquelle phényle est substitué au niveau de X par un à cinq atomes d'halogène sélectionnés indépendamment dans le groupe comprenant fluor, chlore, brome et iode; et R¿1? et R¿2? Sont indépendamment sélectionnés dans le groupe comprenant hydrogène et C¿1?-C¿4? alkyle; C¿1?-C¿4 ?alkyle est éventuellement substitué par phényle (phényle étant éventuellement substitué par des substituants indépendamment sélectionnés dans le groupe comprenant hydrogène, halogène, C¿1?-C¿4? alkyle, C¿1?-C¿4? alcoxy, amino, nitro et cyano).
