ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Compounds of the class of carbamoyl sulphoxides, having the general formula: Image ( I ) wherein R is a phenyl or benzyl group which may be substituted with an alkyl containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkoxy con- taining 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a halogen atom, or R represents an alkyl radical containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms and which may be substituted with a halogen atom, R1 and R2 are the same or different and each represents a hydrogen, an alkyl containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a cycloalkyl containing 4 to 7 carbon atoms or R1 and R2, when together, represent an alkylene containing 4 to 7 carbon atoms. These compounds are usefully employed as effective pesticides and in particular for killing infesting plants.
