ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a carbanilic acid 3-ureido- phenyl esters of the general formula Image in which R denotes a non-aromatic, saturated or unsaturated, hydrocarbon radical having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R1 denotes a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R2 denotes a cyanoalkyl radical or an alkoxy-substituted alkyl radical, n denotes 1 or 2, and each R3 denotes a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio radical or a halogen atom, wherein two R3 moieties may be the same or different, and to processes for their pre- paration. These compounds are useful for the selective control of weeds.
