Abstract Carbon-Graphite Component for an Electrochemical Cell and Method for Making the Component A carbon graphite component having a controlled pore structure for a fuel cell is disclosed. Various construction details are developed which enable use of a cellulose precursor sheet. The cellulose precursor sheet has a controlled pore structure to aid in controlling the pore structure of the finished component. One method for forming the component includes the step of depositing a carbonizable resin from a solution onto a mixture of cellulose fibers during formation of the precursor sheet.
