A B S T R A C T There is disclosed a new series of industrial carbonates carrying cyclic carbonate groups of the general formula: Image wherein R may stand for an alkyl, a cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl, carboxylate, polyoxyethylene, polyester or poly- carbonate group.
