A process for the efficient capture of CO2 and sulfur from combustion flue gas streams and gasification based fuel gas mixtures using regenerable and recyclable calcium based sorbents. The regeneration of the calcium sorbent is accomplished by hydrating the sorbent at high temperatures of about 600° C and a pressure higher than 6 bars to lower the parasitic energy consumption.
L'invention porte sur un procédé pour la capture efficace du CO2 et du soufre à partir de courants de gaz brûlé de combustion et de mélanges de gaz combustibles de gazéification à l'aide de sorbants à base de calcium régénérables et recyclables. La régénération du sorbant à base de calcium est accomplie par hydratation du sorbant à des températures élevées à environ 600°C et à une pression supérieure à 6 bars pour diminuer la consommation parasite d'énergie.
