Compositions for improving at least the low temperature flow properties of high viscosity index, high saturates, low sulfur lubricating oils (also known as American Petroleum Institute Group II and Group III oils). The compositions comprise a mixture of lubricating oil flow improvers (LOFIs) that are specified first and second component copolymers of unsaturated dicarboxy esters, including a first component which is a polymer or copolymer of a carboxylate containing pendent ester groups wherein the average side chain carbon number is between 11.0 and 12.4, such as dialkyl fumarate/vinyl acetate copolymer, and a second component which also is a polymer or copolymer such as dialkyl fumarate/vinyl acetate copolymer, but wherein the average side chain carbon number is between 12.7 and 15Ø Alternatively, each of the polymers or copolymers can be esterified styrene/maleic anhydride copolymer, or esterified olefin/maleic anhydride copolymer provided that each of the two components has the specified, different average side chain carbon numbers.
L'invention concerne des compositions permettant d'améliorer au moins les propriétés d'écoulement à basse température d'huiles lubrifiantes à indice de viscosité élevé, hautement saturées et à faible teneur en soufre (également connues comme les huiles du groupe II et III de l'Institut américain du pétrole). Les compositions renferment un mélange de produits améliorants d'écoulement d'huile lubrifiante (LOFI) étant des copolymères spécifiés à premier et second composants de dicarboxy ester insaturés, comprenant un premier composant qui est un polymère ou un copolymère d'un carboxylate renfermant des groupes ester latéraux, l'indice de carbone moyen des chaînes latérales étant compris entre 11,0 et 12,4, tel qu'un copolymère de dialkyl fumarate/acétate de vinyle, et un second composant étant également un polymère ou un copolymère, tel qu'un copolymère dialkyl fumarate/acétate de vinyle, mais l'indice de carbone moyen des chaînes latérales étant compris entre 12,7 et 15,0. De manière alternative, chaque polymère ou copolymère peut être un copolymère de styrène estérifié/anhydride maléique ou un copolymère d'oléfine estérifiée/anhydride maléique, pour autant que chacun des deux composants présente les différents indices de carbone des chaînes latérales spécifiés.
