A compound which is useful as a VEGF receptor antagonist and has excellent properties. It is a carboxylic acid derivative represented by the formula (1) [wherein ring A represents a benzene ring, naphthalane ring, etc.; W represents C1-5 alkylene; Z represents a single bond or phenylene; R1 and R2 are the same or different and each represents hydrogen, halogeno, C1-5 alkyl, or C1-10 alkoxy; R3 represents hydrogen, halogeno, C1-12 alkyl, C2-5 alkynyl, trifluoromethyl, acetynyl, cyano, nitro, -CH2-R6, -Y-R11, etc.; R4 represents a group represented by the formula (2) and R5 represents hydrogen or C1-5 alkyl] or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the derivative.

L'invention concerne un composé utilisé comme antagoniste du récepteur du VEGF et présentant d'excellentes propriétés. Il s'agit d'un dérivé d'acide carboxylique représenté par la formule (1) ou d'un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable dudit dérivé. Dans ladite formule (1), le cycle A représente un cycle benzénique, un cycle naphtalénique, etc. ; W représente alkylène en C¿1-5? ; Z représente une liaison simple ou phénylène ; R?1¿ et R?2¿ sont identiques ou différents et représentent chacun hydrogène, halogéno, alkyle en C¿1-5 ?ou alkoxy en C¿1-10?; R?3¿ représente hydrogène, halogéno, alkyle en C¿1-12?, alcynyle en C¿2-5?, triflurorométhyle, acétynyle, cyano, nitro, -CH¿2?-R?6¿, -Y-R?11¿, etc. ; R?4¿ représente un groupe représenté par la formule (2) et R?5¿ représente hydrogène ou alkyle en C¿1-5?.
