[PROBLEMS] To provide a compound which is usable as a drug, in particular, an insulin secretagogue or a preventive or remedy for a disease in which GPR40 participates such as diabetes or the like. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] It is found out that a novel carboxylic acid derivative, which is characterized in that a carboxylic acid is bonded via two atoms to a 6-membered monocyclic aromatic ring and this aromatic ring is further bonded via a linker to a nitrogen-containing bicyclic ring, or its salt has an excellent GPR40 agonist activity. Because of showing excellent effects of promoting insulin secretion and lowering blood glucose level, this carboxylic acid derivative is useful as an insulin secretagogue or a preventive or remedy for diabetes.
La présente invention a pour objet un composé utilisable en tant que médicament, en particulier un sécrétagogue d'insuline ou un médicament préventif ou curatif pour une maladie dans laquelle est impliqué le GPR40, par exemple le diabète ou équivalent. Il a été constaté qu'un dérivé d'acide carboxylique inédit, caractérisé en ce qu'un acide carboxylique est lié par l'intermédiaire de deux atomes à un noyau aromatique monocyclique à 6 éléments et en ce que ce noyau aromatique est encore lié par une séquence de liaison à un noyau bicyclique contenant de l'azote, ou son sel, présente une très bonne activité agoniste pour le GPR40. Comme ses résultats se révèlent excellents pour ce qui est de favoriser la sécrétion d'insuline et la baisse de la glycémie sanguine, ce dérivé d'acide carboxylique se révèle utile en tant que sécrétagogue d'insuline ou en tant que médicament préventif ou curatif pour le diabète.
