A liquid composition is described which comprises (A) a major amount of at least one fluorine containing hydrocarbon containing one or two carbon atoms; and (B) a minor amount of at least one soluble organic lubricant comprising at least one carboxylic ester of a polyhydroxy compound containing at least 2 hydroxy groups and characterized by the general formula R[OC(O)R1]n (I) wherein R is a hydrocarbyl group, each R1 is independently hydrogen, a straight chain lower hydrocarbyl group, a branched chain hydrocarbyl group, or a straight chain hydrocarbyl group containing from 8 to about 22 carbon atoms provided that at least one R1 group is hydrogen, a lower straight chain hydrocarbyl or a branched chain hydrocarbyl group, or a carboxylic acid- or carboxylic acid ester-containing hydrocarbon group, and n is at least 2. Liquid compositions also are described containing fluorine-containing hydrocarbons also containing other halogen such as chlorine. The liquid compositions are useful particularly as refrigeration liquids in refrigerator and air-conditioners including auto, home and industrial air-conditioners.
On décrit une composition liquide qui comprend (A) une quantité majeure d'au moins un hydrocarbure fluoré contenant un ou deux atomes de carbone; et (B) une quantité mineure d'au moins un lubrifiant organique soluble comprenant au moins un ester carboxylique d'un composé polyhydroxy contenant au moins 2 groupes hydroxy et caractérisé par la formule générale R[OC(O)R1]n (I) où R est un groupe hydrocarbyle, chacun des R1 étant, indépendamment, un atome d'hydrogène, un groupe hydrocarbyle inférieur à chaîne linéaire, un groupe hydrocarbyle à chaîne ramifiée ou un groupe hydrocarbyle à chaîne linéaire contenant de 8 à environ 22 atomes de carbone pourvu qu'au moins un groupe R1 soit un atome d'hydrogène, un hydrocarbyle inférieur à chaîne linéaire ou un groupe hydrocarbyle à chaîne ramifiée, ou un groupe hydrocarboné contenant un acide carboxylique ou un ester carboxylique, et que n soit au moins 2. On décrit également des compositions liquides d'hydrocarbures fluorés portant également un autre halogène comme le chlore. Ces compositions liquides sont utiles, particulièrement comme liquides frigorigènes dans les réfrigérateurs et appareils de conditionnement d'air, dont les appareils de conditionnement d'air industriels, domestiques ou encore, utilisés dans l'industrie automobile.
