ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a process for the production of a low benzol content, environmentally clean carburetor fuel by separating a nuclear fraction of the boiling range 145 - 185°C from coal light oil. This fraction may then be remixed with the coal light oil which boils at up to 145°C after extraction of the phenol with subsequent refining and reforming.
