Abstract of the Disclosure A carburetor for an internai combustion engine compriscs a housing, porous matter contained in che housins, means for in- jecting fuel into the housing and onto the porous matter to effect completion or vaporization of the fuel, means for admitting air into the housing to form a mixture with the vaporized fuel and means for conducting the mixture out of the housing for combustion in the engine. Preferably, means are provided for transferring heat from the exhaust gases of the engine to the housing and the porous matter and to the fuel before the fuel is injected into one housing. - 1 -
