ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a carcass tie having at least one opening for releasably retaining therein two adjacent legs of the carcass so as to hold the legs in relatively close relationship. In one embodiment the carcass tie is substantially hour glass in shape and has a hole at each end thereof, each of the holes releasably receiving one of the legs. In another embodiment the carcass tie is trianular in shape and has a neck receiving hole in a first corner, and a leg receiving hole in each of the other corners. Other embodiments are also disclosed.
