Apparatuses and methods for dispensing magnetic stripe cards, smart cards, other cards, and/or other items from kiosks and other structures are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a card dispensing apparatus includes at least a first card hopper and a card transport assembly. The first card hopper is configured to hold a stack of cards that includes at least a first card stacked on a second card. The card transport assembly includes a card carrier moveable between a first position proximate to the first card hopper and a second position spaced apart from the first card hopper. The card carrier is configured to lift the first card off the second card when the card carrier is in the first position. The card carrier is further configured to release the first card toward an outlet when the card carrier is in the second position. In one embodiment, the card carrier can move the first card past a card reader/writer for reading information from, and/or writing information to, the card as it carries the card from the first position to the second position.
L'invention concerne des dispositifs et des procédés de distribution de cartes à bande magnétique, de cartes à puce, d'autres cartes et/ou d'autres articles à partir de bornes ou d'autres structures. Dans un mode de réalisation, un dispositif de distribution de cartes comporte au moins un premier magasin d'alimentation en cartes et un ensemble de transport de cartes. Le premier magasin d'alimentation en cartes est conçu pour supporter une pile de cartes contenant au moins une première carte empilée sur une deuxième carte. L'ensemble de transport de cartes comporte un support de cartes pouvant être déplacé entre une première position proche du premier magasin d'alimentation en cartes et une deuxième position espacée par rapport au premier magasin d'alimentation en cartes. Le support de cartes est conçu pour soulever la première carte par rapport à la deuxième carte lorsque le support de cartes se trouve dans la première position. Le support de cartes est par ailleurs conçu pour libérer la première carte en direction d'une sortie lorsque le support de cartes se trouve dans la deuxième position. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, le support de cartes peut déplacer la première carte au-delà d'un lecteur/inscripteur de cartes pour la lecture d'informations à partir de la carte et/ou l'inscription d'informations sur la carte lorsque le support de cartes transporte la carte de la première position vers la deuxième position.
