The invention is directed to a playing card dispensing shoe apparatus, system, and method where the shoe (10) has a card scanner which scans the indicia on a playing card as the card moves along and out of a chute (16a) of the shoe by operation of the dealer. The scanner comprises an optical-sensor (41) used in combination with a neural network which is trained using error back- propagation to recognize the card suits and card values of the playing cards as they are moved past the scanner. The scanning process in combination with a central processing unit determines the progress of the game and, by identifying card counting systems or basic playing strategies in use by the players of the game, provides a way to limit or prevent casino losses and calculate the Theoretical Win of the casino, thus also providing an accurate method for determining the amount of comps to be given to a particular player.
L'invention concerne un sabot de distribution de cartes à jouer, un système et un procédé dans lequel le sabot (10) est doté d'un dispositif de balayage qui balaie les empreintes se trouvant sur une carte à jouer alors que la carte se déplace le long d'une goulotte d'éjection (16a) de laquelle elle est éjectée, par action du donneur. Le scanner comprend un détecteur optique (41) utilisé en combinaison avec un réseau neuronal entraîné, par rétropropagation d'erreur, à reconnaître les combinaisons de cartes et valeurs des cartes à jouer au moment où elles dépassent le dispositif de balayage. Le procédé de balayage en combinaison avec une unité de traitement centrale détermine l'état d'avancement du jeu et, grâce à l'identification des systèmes de comptage de cartes ou des stratégies de jeu utilisés par les joueurs, définit un moyen de limiter ou d'empêcher les pertes du casino et calcule le Gain Théorique du casino, définissant ainsi un procédé précis de détermination de la quantité de gratifications à accorder à un joueur particulier.
