A card of standardized shape includes a portion defining an optical memory and a region supplied with a semiconductor memory. A process for manufacturing a card with digital memories is also provided. In this process, a first flat support having a perimetral edge corresponding to the standardized rectangular shape of the card is provided with a semiconductor memory, and a second flat support is provided with an optical memory, and the first and second flat supports are irremovably coupled to each other so as to dispose the memories on opposite reading faces of the card.
