A cardiac harness for treating or preventing congestive heart failure is configured to be placed about at least a portion of a patient's heart (30) so as to apply a mild compressive force on the heart. In one embodiment, the cardiac harness (130) comprises a plurality of spaced apart conductive panels (136) arranged so that there is no electrical continuity circumferentially around the harness (130). In an additional embodiment, a cardiac harness (220) is insulated so as not to conduct electricity about the harness (220).
La présente invention concerne un harnais cardiaque permettant de traiter ou de prévenir une insuffisance cardiaque congestive. Ledit harnais est conçu pour être placé au moins autour d'une partie du coeur d'un patient (30) de manière à appliquer une force de compression moyenne sur le coeur. Dans un mode de réalisation, le harnais cardiaque (130) comprend une pluralité d'éléments conducteurs séparés (136) disposés de sorte qu'il n'existe aucune continuité électrique à la circonférence du harnais (130). Dans un autre mode de réalisation, un harnais cardiaque (220) est isolé de manière à ne pas conduire l'électricité autour du harnais (220).
