ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A cardiotomy reservoir is disclosed and includes a rigid casing having inlet and outlet means for blood and blood filter and defoaming means therein. Improved inlet means is provided and comprises a plurality of tubular-apertures positioned adjacent the upper end of the reservoir and having open ends which are out- wardly directed normally of the longitudinal axis of the reservoir. The apertures inwardly terminate in open-bottom, downwardly curved end wall means, to direct fluid flow inwardly through the apertures and then downwardly by means of a gently, curved flow in the reservoir.
