ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Cardiotonic pharmaceutical compositions containing a dihydropyridine derivative having a particular structure as an effective ingredient, and to methods of stimulating cardiac functions. The dihydropyridine derivatives (I) show moderate manifestation of cardiotonic action and have markedly long dura- bility of the action. Thus, the cardiotonic pharmaceutical compositions of the invention are useful as an agent for the treatment of heart diseases.
