A cargo box of the type suitable for mounting in the cargo bed of a pickup truck or on the back of a truck, van, or recreational vehicle, includes a open-topped enclosure having a back wall, a bottom, two side walls, and at least one vertically disposed front access door and a lid for completely and tightly closing the top of the enclosure. A false bottom is provided, which, when set in its operative position and the lid in place atop the enclosure, bounds two interior storage spaces, the first space between the bottom and the false bottom and the second space between the lid and the false bottom. The lid provides access to the first space and the vertically disposed front access door provides access to both interior storage spaces.

Cette invention concerne une caisse du type adapté à l'installation sur la plate-forme d'une camionnette ou à l'arrière d'un camion, d'une fourgonnette ou d'un véhicule récréatif et formant une enceinte à dessus ouvert ayant une paroi arrière, deux parois latérales et, au moins, un panneau d'accès frontal vertical et un couvercle servant à la fermer complètement et de façon étanche. La caisse a un faux fond qui, mis en place, définit avec le couvercle rabattu deux compartiments de stockage, un premier entre le fond et le faux fond et un second entre le couvercle et le faux fond. Le couvercle donne accès au second compartiment tandis que le panneau d'accès vertical ouvre les deux compartiments à la fois.
