A cargo container having a floor and a peripheral wall structure extending upwardly from the floor and bounding a cargo storage space. The peripheral wall structure includes a plurality of side post assemblies. The peripheral wall structure further has a plurality of panels each having an inside surface facing the cargo storage space and an oppositely facing outside surface. Each of a plurality of side post assemblies has a body with a vertically extending length and a "U" shape as viewed in cross section taken transversely to the length of the body. Each side post assembly is secured to at least one of the panels and has: a) a base with a width; b) first and second legs projecting respectively from the first and second base ends; and c) first and second flanges projecting laterally oppositely respectively from the first and second legs. Each side post assembly further has a reinforcement plate that is secured to the base to reinforce the base.
Le présent extrait concerne un conteneur de fret ayant un plancher et une structure de paroi périphérique s'étendant vers le haut depuis le plancher et délimitant un espace de stockage de fret. La structure de paroi périphérique comprend plusieurs montants latéraux équipés. La structure de paroi périphérique comporte également plusieurs panneaux ayant chacun une surface intérieure faisant face à l'espace de stockage et une surface extérieure faisant face à l'opposé. Chacun des montants latéraux équipés a un corps d'une longueur s'étendant verticalement et une forme en U vue en coupe prise transversalement à la longueur du corps. Chaque montant latéral est fixé à au moins un des panneaux et comporte : a) un socle avec une largeur; b) un premier et un deuxième pied se projetant respectivement des première et deuxième extrémités de socle; et c) une première et une deuxième bride se projetant latéralement de façon opposée, respectivement depuis les premier et deuxième pieds. Chaque montant latéral équipé a également une plaque de renfort qui est fixée au socle afin de renforcer celui-ci.
