Cargo lock blocks 18 are slidably mounted on a cargo restraining bar 16 and have two oppositely directed cargo engaging surfaces, one arcuate 22 and the other 24 with two surface portions 24a, 24b at right angles, for selective engagement with a complimentary cargo surface. The lock blocks can be used with cargo of different configurations.
