A B S T R A C T A cargo strap winder is provided for winding a cargo strap having one free end and one end provided with securing means. The cargo strap is adapted for attachment to a vehicle and includes: a drum; means for releasably securing the free end of a cargo strap to the drum; powered means for rotating the drum about its axis; and means for enabling the powered means.
