An infant entertainment device (10) having a molded plastic receptacle (12) which receives a portable seat (20), the device rotating a baby carried by the seat (20) at a rate of about one rpm relative to a stationary member (30). Optionally, the carousel may be equipped with a cam (39) on the stationary base and a cam-riding rod (35) which engages and rocks the removable seat relative to the molded carrier as the upper portion rotates relative to the stationary base. A toddler carousel may be formed by providing the rotational base member with a mountable seat such as a pony.
Ce dispositif récréatif pour enfant en bas âge (10), qui comporte un logement en matière plastique moulée (12) abritant un siège portatif (20), fait tourner un bébé assis sur le siège (20) autour d'un élément fixe (30) et ce, à une vitesse d'environ un tour par minute. Ce carrousel peut, éventuellement, être équipé d'une came (39) installée sur la base fixe et d'une tige d'entraînement à came (35) entrant en contact avec le siège amovible et le faisant basculer selon la géométrie du support moulé lorsque la partie supérieure effectue une rotation relativement à la base fixe. Il est possible de créer un carrousel pour tout-petit en installant un siège à enfourcher tel qu'un poney sur l'élément de base tournant.
