An aqueous carpet cleaning composition restores properties of manufacturer finishes to carpeting which is composed of from about 0.5 % to about 6.0 % by weight of ethylene glycol n-hexyl ether; from about 0.05 % to about 2.0 % by weight of a water-soluble or water-miscible fluorinated hydrocarbon which forms a water and oil repellent surface upon drying; from about 0.25 % to about 5.0 % by weight of a surfactant selected from the group consisting of nonionic surfactants and mixtures thereof; and from about 0.5 % to about 7.0 % by weight of an olefinic/acrylic polymer having an acid number from about 10 to about 450. The composition forms a non-tacky, soil repellent residue upon drying and restores the water repellent finish of the carpet.
Une composition aqueuse de nettoyage de moquettes rétablit les propriétés d'apprêts appliqués par les fabricants dans la production de moquettes, elle se compose d'environ 0,5 à 6,0 % en poids d'éther n-hexylique d'éthylène glycol, environ 0,05 à environ 2,0 % en poids d'un hydrocarbure fluoré hydrosoluble ou miscible à l'eau formant une surface hydrofuge et oléofuge, environ 0,25 à environ 5,0 % en poids d'un tensioactif choisi dans le groupe constitué de tensioactifs anioniques et de mélanges de ceux-ci, et environ 0,5 à environ 7,0 % en poids d'un polymère oléfinique/acrylique présentant un indice d'acidité compris entre environ 10 et environ 450. Ladite composition forme un résidu non-collant anti-salissures lors de son séchage et reconstitue l'apprêt hydrofuge de la moquette.
