ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The disclosure relates to an improved tool and method for laying carpet. More particularly, the disclosure relates to a hand tool including a single shaft having a tucker wheel member mount on one end of the shaft and a handle in the center of the shaft making it easy to handle to the operator, and a meth- od for using the tool for tucking down the edge of a carpet when the carpet is laid over tacking strips.
