ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A carriage for transporting cleaning equipment, such as in office buildings, hospitals, hotels and similar establish- ments includes a base frame mounted on wheels for travel on a floor from one place to another. A support member of generally U- shaped configuration is mounted on the base frame, extending up- wardly therefrom. The support member is of one tubular piece and includes two support portions parallel to one another and a trans- verse portion interconnecting the two support portions. Free ends of the support portions are connected to the base frame by holding members, accommodated in selected passages of the base frame. The base frame may be of a tubular construction, and abutment members can be connected to the free ends of the support portions to parti- ally embrace the tubular frame around the passages. One or more tubular transverse components may extend between the two support portions in parallelism with and with spacing from the transverse portion. The transverse portion and/or the transverse component may have flat regions to be embraced by arms of hook-shaped clamps rigid with holding frames for the equipment. A platform may be mounted on the base frame for tilting between an erect inoperative and a substantially horizontal operative position and may have a grill-like configuration. -1-
