The invention provides an ammunition carrier for retaining ammunition. The ammunition carrier includes a stationary carrier body portion disposed about a space in which to retain the ammunition; and a rotating carrier body portion disposed about the space and pivotally attached to the stationary carrier body portion. The stationary carrier body portion and the rotating carrier body portion collectively form a cover assembly to secure the ammunition. The ammunition carrier further includes a locking mechanism, the locking mechanism pivotally attached to the rotating carrier body portion, the locking mechanism (1) engageable, in an engaged position, with the stationary carrier body portion so as to prevent rotation of the rotating carrier body portion relative to the stationary carrier body portion; and (2) disengageable, in a disengaged position, with the stationary carrier body portion so as to allow rotation of the rotating carrier body portion relative to the stationary carrier body portion.
La présente invention a trait à un dispositif de transport de munition pour le maintien de munition. Le dispositif de transport de munition comporte une portion de corps de dispositif de transport fixe disposée autour d'un espace dans lequel est retenue la munition; et une portion de corps de dispositif de transport rotative disposée autour de l'espace et fixé en pivotement à la portion de corps de dispositif de transport fixe. La portion de dispositif de transport fixe et la portion de corps de dispositif de transport rotative forment un ensemble de recouvrement pour arrimer la munition. Le dispositif de transport de munition comporte également un mécanisme de verrouillage, le mécanisme de verrouillage étant fixé en pivotement à la portion de corps de dispositif de transport rotative, le mécanisme de verrouillage étant (1) apte à être engagé, dans une position engagée, avec la portion de corps de dispositif de transport fixe de manière à empêcher la rotation de la portion de corps de dispositif de transport rotative par rapport à la portion de corps de dispositif de transport fixe; et (2) apte à être dégagé, dans une position dégagée, avec la portion de corps de dispositif de transport fixe de manière à permettre la rotation de la portion de corps de dispositif de transport rotative par rapport à la portion de corps de dispositif de transport fixe.
