A card insertion system (38) for automatically producing card packages of cards (32) attached to folded card carrier forms (30) having a top (81), a bottom (83), a leading edge (85), a lagging edge (87), a pair of intermediate leading and lagging fold lines (80A, 80B) dividing the carrier form into a leading end section (82), a middle section (84) and a lagging end section (86), the improvement being a carrier form folding apparatus (64), having a first folding station (98) with a folding wall (90) engageable by the leading edge (85) for folding the leading end section (82) along the leading fold line (80A) and up and over the top (81) of the middle section (84) as the carrier form (30) is moved through the first folding station (98) to form a partially folded carrier form (30). A second folding station (116) with a folding wall (12) engageable by the folded edge (80A) of the partially folded carrier form (30) at the leading fold line (80A) for folding the lagging end section (86) along the lagging fold line (80B) over the bottom of the middle section (84) as the partially folded carrier form (30) is moving through the second folding station (116) to form a fully fold carrier form (30).
Cette invention concerne un système d'insertion (38) de cartes permettant de produire automatiquement des emballages de cartes (32) qui sont attachées à des formes (30) de support de cartes pliées. Ces formes possèdent un recto (81), un verso (83), un bord avant (85), un bord arrière (87), ainsi que deux lignes de pli intermédiaires avant et arrière (80A, 80B) qui divisent la forme de support en une section d'extrémité avant (82), en une section centrale (84) et en une section d'extrémité arrière (86). Cette invention se caractérise par un appareil de pliage (64) de formes de support qui possède une première station de pliage (98) comportant une paroi de pliage (90). Cette paroi va entrer en contact avec le bord avant (85) de manière à ce que la section d'extrémité avant (82) se plie le long de la ligne de pli avant (80A) et vienne recouvrir le recto (81) de la section centrale (84). Ce pliage se fait lorsque la forme (30) traverse la première station de pliage (98) de manière à obtenir une forme de support (30) partiellement pliée. Une seconde station de pliage (116) comprend une paroi de pliage (12) qui va entrer en contact avec le bord plié (80A) de la forme partiellement pliée (30) au niveau de la ligne de pli avant (80A). La section d'extrémité arrière (86) est alors pliée le long de la ligne de pli arrière (80B) et vient recouvrir le verso de la section centrale (84). Ce second pliage se fait lorsque la forme de support (30) partiellement pliée traverse la seconde station de pliage (116) de manière à obtenir une forme de support (30) complètement pliée.
